To say it rains a lot in Wales, is an understatement. It rains pretty much daily, but that won’t keep people from going about their business. If it did, no one would leave their house but to go to work, which is a must.
Hiking the trails of Brecon Beacons was on the top of my list, yet wasn’t accomplished until the last weekend of my stay, we (my boyfriend and I) were finally cut a break.
Originally we intended to do another trail, but the GPS couldn’t pick it up and the road we took, didn’t seem to be the right one due to it becoming barely wide enough for the car. Well, it happened we were on the right road, but as luck turned out, the second trail that we stumbled upon lead us to the bigger falls. Yay us.
As I mentioned above, rain is a daily occurrence. Plan your footwear well, no flip-flops, you are hiking. Little streams run through the path and mud is more common than dry land. There are also numerous steps to climb, that were made for a giant. It’s a moderate to hard hike that took us 4 hours to complete, but could probably be done a little quicker.
